Graphite electrode: Graphite electrode is mainly used for steel-making in electric furnace, mineral hot furnace and electric resistance furnace. Graphite electrode conducts electric current into the furnace. Electric current produces arc in the smelting district in the electric furnace, when the temperature increase to about 2000c, smelting begins. Our a series of graphite electrode is applicable to the common furnace and high power furnace with high pressure and short arc.

Np graphite electrode:
1. Dia100-350mm, resistivity 6-9, bending strength 10-12mpa, elastic modulus 7-9gpa, cte1.8-2.9 x 10-6/c, compressive strength18-22 mpa, bulk density 1.52-1.57g/cm3, ash 0.3%.

2. Dia 400-500mm, resistivity 7-10, bending strength 6.5-10mpa, elastic modulus 7-9.3gpa, cte 1.7-2.9 x 10-6/c, compressive strength 18-22 mpa, bulk density 1.52-1.57g/cm3, ash0.3%.

HP graphite electrode:
1. Dia200-350mm, resistivity 6-7, bending strength 10-15mpa, elastic modulus 9-12gpa, cte 1.6-2.2 x 10-6/c, compressive strength 24-28 mpa, bulk density 1.62-1.70g/cm3, ash 0.3%.

2. Dia 400-500mm, resistivity 6-7, bending strength 10-13mpa, elastic modulus 9-12gpa, cte 1.5-2.2 x 10-6/c, compressive strength 24-26 mpa, bulk density 1.62-1.68g/cm3, ash 0.3%.

Graphite electrode nipple: Dia 200-500mm, resistivity 4-7, bending strength 12-20mpa, elastic mosulus12-14gpa, cte2.0-3.0 x 10-6/c, compressive strength 32-38 mpa, bulk density 1.70-1.80g/cm3, ash 0.3%.

Packing
(a) The stores shall be packed in sufficiently durable wooden box to withstand overseas shipment and tropical conditions and also to ensure against exposure damage during transit Off loaded at the port of destination.

(b) Graphite Electrode and Nipples will be carefully packed separately for shipment.

(c) For added protection the electrodes should be enclosed by Battens on all side and additionally secured by metal hands to protect the threads, the face of the electrode should be covered with cardboard disk, Electrode should be covered with strong PVC sheets to withstand transportation during rainy season.
