Product Description
Boron Carbide
Boron carbide, with black crystal powder form, is one of the hardest man-made material. It has the Mohs hardness of 9.36 and microscopic hardness of 5, 400 - 6, 300kg/mm2, which is only second to diamond. Its spcific gravity is 2. 52g/m3 and the melting point is 2, 450oC.
The boron carbide possesses the property of high temperature resistance, and high grinding efficiency, without reactions to either acid or alkalis. It's not magnetic, and is a good substitute for diamond.
Boron carbide is of light weight, with neutral absorbing capacity and semi-
Conductivity so that it is widely used in the military and nuclear industries in addition to boride refractory, iron transfusion, and film layer usage.
Furthermore, it can be used for grinding, polishing, and drilling of hard metal alloys and jewels. It is the main material for wear-resistant parts, precise meter elements, precise spray nozzles, sealed washer smelting boron steel and boron alloys. The powder of Boron Carbide is also usded for refractories industry and also used for making high quality Spray Nozzle.
