Product Description
Precipitated Barium Sulphate
It is made by precipitated process, and mainly used in powder coating, and can replace TiO2 partly! It is aslo used in plastic, PVC, coil coating, wood coating and heavy duty paint, etc. The D50 is about 1-2um, and the whiteness is about 98. Our factory has been involved in this business since 1990, and our barium sulphate has been exported to Europe, Africa, Korea, Japan, etc, and it is used by Akzo Nobel, Kansai Paint in China. Our factory is the formal academician of Chinese powder coating association. The total capacity is about 10, 000mt per year. Our other customer has approved that our barium sulphate can replace most of Blanc fixe (from Satchleben) and Elementis.
Barytes-Natural Barium Sulfate
Barytes or barite is one of the most abundant and widely distributed minerals throughout the world. It is mined commercially for the best element, barium, which is used as a functional filler/pigment extender in the manufacturing of products like coatings, rubber, plastics, ceramic, glass and friction material, or used as a mud for sealing oil well during the drilling process.
Barytes is also used for radiation shielding and additive in heavy concrete. The other main application is for production of barium chemicals.
Barytes is useful in such variety of applications as they are chemically inert (e. G. Acid resistant). They have a high density, low oil absorption, and a low refractive index. Barytes is radiopaque and they are UV light reflectors. They positively impact the performance properties of formulated products
