Why come to China?
Today, many countries in the world face the chanllenge of increasing the arable land. This is especially true in China, with its long history of difficulty in supplying water to its people.
China is geographically located an area frequently stricken by drought and its water resources are unevenly distributed throughout the country. In northern China, where 65% of the arable land is located, only 20% of the country's water resources are available. Southern China, home to most of the country's rivers, is subject to flood and the devastation which brings upon China's agriculture. In order to meet the agricultural needs of China, many new irrigation technologies and water management systems must be implemented. |
