From a Start-Up Company to an E-Business Leader
It all started ten years ago.
On February 28, 1998, in a small and old office in Southeast University, Nanjing, China, Made-in-China.com was founded. The newly formed website rode and survived the IT boom often referred to as the dot com bubble. Today, as a pioneer and leader in e-business, Made-in-China.com has helped many Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises compete in international trade, advance into new markets and meet the demands of their global clients.

Needless to say, the internet has developed explosively over this last decade. With the continuous growth of Chinese export, trade, and online users, Made-in-China.com has organized and provided the most complete, accurate and valid information Chinese products and suppliers available on the net today. Nowadays, Made-in-China.com has become a leading B2B portal, specializing in assisting global buyers and Chinese manufacturers to make contact with each other and conduct international trade.

1996 Focus Technology Co. Ltd, the developer of Made-in-China.com, was established.
1998 Made-in-China.com was developed as a business trade portal, servicing the needs of Chinese made product suppliers and global buyers of Chinese made products.
2000 Made-in-China.com was officially launched in China's largest export fair, the Canton Fair.
2002 Introduced TopRank, a premium promotion service for Chinese suppliers.
2003 Launched our first premium membership service, China Suppliers; Ranked by the China Internet Weekly as one of the Top 100 sites in China for the first time.
2004 Participated and attended various international export fairs around China including the Canton Fair in Guangzhou, the CICGF in Ningbo and the Yiwu Fair; Ranked by the China Internet Weekly as one of the Top 100 sites in China for the second time.
2005 Cooperated with PymesOnline.com, of the leading business portals in Spain, to integrate Chinese suppliers into its Spanish language websites; Made our debut overseas promotion in the Rebuild Iraq Exhibition in Jordan; Reached our highest level in terms of web traffic and the number of premium service users.
2006 We took part actively in local & overseas exhibitions such as the Electronica 2006 in Munich, the 110th Budapest International Fair, the 100th Canton Fair and etc. We were also honored as the Most Influential Enterprise of China's Foreign Trade on the first meeting of China's Foreign Trade.
2007 Signed a cooperation agreement with SGS Group, the world's leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, to present Audited Suppliers service, offering professional factory audit service to premium members; In March, honored by EB World magazine as the Top 100 Best E-Business; In June, awarded as an "Excellent Prize" for E-Commence Application Platform by the organizing committee of the 10th China Int'l E-Commence Conference; In December, voted as the No. 1 China B2B Websites of 2007 by China Internet Weekly; Meanwhile, the company moved its headquarters into a new and larger building with an increased number of staff.
2008 Celebrated Made-in-China.com's 10th anniversary. Total of 16 sub-companies set up all over China.
A Creative and Innovative Player
In 2000, the Internet bubble burst, and e-businesses around the world suffered a period of downturn and loss of profit. Many dot com companies went bankrupt, failed and disappeared. Made-in-China.com, however, survived. By continuously providing creative and innovative products and services, Made-in-China.com has not only survived the dot com bust, but is leading the industry into the future.
Since its founding, Made-in-China.com has created a new global marketing model, combined traditional and online marketing practices, and participated frequently in both major domestic and international exhibitions and trade shows. Our marketing model has proved to be more effective than any other, and continues to improve and mature with cooperation and resource sharing with other pioneering e-business websites and organizations.
In 2007, Made-in-China.com, together with The SGS Group, a world leading inspection and auditing institution, introduced our Audited Suppliers (AS) Service. Audited Suppliers, easily recognizable by their unique symbol "
" are reputable, trustworthy and reliable suppliers that have been tested and audited by SGS. Using this service global buyers have been able to quickly get reliable information about a potential partner's company, production ability, trade capability, R&D and quality management systems.
Made-in-China.com's AS service has brought a breath of fresh air into the e-business industry. Since then, online global trading has never been so easy. Buyers and sellers alike have found our AS service to be instrumental in the international business dealings.
At around the same time as AS, Made-in-China.com launched its Customer Training Program. Thousands of Chinese manufacturers have joined our international trade lectures, building long lasting relationships with us and positioning themselves better for successful global trade.

Made-in-China.com has always insisted on clear missions: to facilitate global trade between worldwide buyers and Chinese suppliers; to provide accurate and reliable information on Chinese products and suppliers to global buyers; and to help buyers and suppliers communicate and do business effectively and efficiently.
Made-in-China.com's project development team is working on even more innovative and comprehensive business package solutions, covering everything from internal company management to international marketing, and hopes to offer these products to our Chinese members in the near future.
