Of vinyl chloride vinyl acetate and vinyl alcohol V A H ( similar to VAGH of Dow Chemical ) Description: It is a high molecular weight, hydroxyl-functional, partially-hydrolyzed vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate resin, it is powder form. It is a hydroxyl modified terpolymer of vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and vinyl alcohol. Introduction: It is a crosslinkable with amino resins and polyisocyanates and is also compatible with a wide variety of resins including alkyds and acrylics. This resin has good adhesion to vinyl, cellulosic and treated polyester and PE substrates. It imparts good sandability in vinyl/alkyd/urea wood sealers. It is cited in FDA regulations for use in food contact applications and is also heat-sealable. Application: It was widely be used in the industries of paint, coating, industrial repair paint, marine paint, wooden surface paint, paper paint, metal decorate paint, container paint, adhesive for PVC/ armor plate, adhesive for tape etc. Typical applications: Flexible packaging and binder in Magnetic Tape General Metal and Container Coatings Wood Finishes and Paper Coatings Industrial Maintenance Marine and Maintenance Coatings Features: Crosslinkable with amino resins or polyisocyanates; Compatible with many other generic resins; High glass transition temperature ( Tg) for blocking resistance and sandability in wood sealers; Resistance to water, alcohols and aliphatic hydrocarbons; Adhesion to vinyl, cellulosics, PVC, ABS and properly treated PET and PE; Heat-sealable; FDA approved for food contact applications; Technical data: Property value Molecular weight 27000 Specific gravity 1.39 Appearance White powder Viscosity (VN) 58+/-2 (350) Particle size % (through 40mesh) 100% Volatile % 1% max.
