Ⅱ Properties and uses
Colourless, transparent oily liquid, b. P. 386 C, viscosity 80 c. P. ((20 C), refractive index 1.483~1.486(20 C).
One of the most useful plasticizer, it shows properties of the plasticizing efficiency, low volatility, light-resistant, water-endurance, weathering resisting, good electrical functions, and fine softening effect, etc...
Extensively used in processing electrical wires and cables, artificialleathers, films and moulding plastics from polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride copolymers, and cellulosic resins.

DOP is an important and general primary plasticizer, chiefly used in the processing of PVC resin. DOP is widely used in the industry of plastic, rubber, oil-paint and emulsifying agent. PVC plasticized by it can be used in the manufacture of artificial leather, agricultural film, pipe, sheet material, mold plastic, packaging material and cables, ect.
