GENERAL INFORMATION

Fused cast AZS (alumina, zirconia and silica) refractories are good refractory materials, especially for current glass furnaces, and characterized with excellent density, high refractoriness and resistance against corrosion of molten glass. The applications are popularly found in many key positions of various glass furnaces. Fused cast AZS firebricks are mainly categorized into 33#, 36# and 41# according to different zirconia's contents from 33% to 41%.

Little tendency to release zirconia crystal into molten glass

Increasing resistance to corrosion of molten glass
Less glass phase & more zirconia crystal

A good structure of Zr and ¦Á eutectic crystal
Excellent resistance to corrosion of molten glass

APPLICATIONS
AZS 33#:
Sidewalls, breast walls, ports, pavers, etc. in glass furnace  
AZS 36#:
Position in contact with molten glass, such as doghouse, sidewalls and pavers of melters.
AZS 41#:
Throats, doghouse, comers, sidewalls, electrodes, bubbler blocks, etc.
