The Copper Clad Aluminium Line is applyingclad-welding technique, the wire is made by fusing a core aluminum with an external copper cladding. The two different kinds of metals are metallurgically bonded at their interfaceand the copper clading thickness remains constant, so they become a single andindissociable wire.
Because of skin effect, the AC conductivityof CCA wire equals to solid copper when frequency greater than 5Mhz.
Advantage of Bimetallic Wire
With composite characteristics: Thebimetallic wire combines different beneficial properties in a single wire. CCAwire integrates the beneficial propertiesof the wonderful conductivity ofcopper and the light weight of aluminium.
With wonderful plasticity and easy toprocess futher: CCA wire can be done in the same way as with copper wire. CCAwire is easy to be processed to fine wire or flat wire.
Economical effect: The density of CCA isabout 37-40% of that of copper, its length is 2.45-2.65 times of copper in sameweight and diameter. All of these contribute to reduce production cost forcable manufacturers.
Application:
Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA)wire is abimetallic wire with a copper cladding concentrically covering an aluminumcore. Which combines the optimum properties of both metals in consinglecomposite material ideally suited for most electrica conductor applications. The processing method of CCA wire is similarto that of copper wire during cable manufacture.

Application of Enameled CCA wire
With the advantage of light weight, higherconductivity and good heat spreading ability. It is widely used to make high frquencycoils in the fields of computer, mobile communication device, audio equipmet, aviation device, Car cable and light-weight transform, etc.
The processing method of CCA wire similar to that of copper wire during cable manufacture. Manufacture standard: SJ/T 11223-2000, ASTM B566-93.
The wire is divided into two mechanicalstatus: Annealed (A) and Hard drawn(H), and two kinds of copper percentage in volume: 10% and 15%.
