The 6800N Modular Platform meets the new requirements of modular signal processing, which can be well represented by the following aspects:
Flexibility:
The 6800N Series provides a full open architecture to support the signal standard and format of today and tomorrow.
The 6800N Series can accommodate OSEE's 6800 Series and 6800N Series modular boards, and can support SD/HD/Fiber, multichannel audio of analog/digital audio/video and satisfy the needs of distribution, conversion, monitoring, synch processing, embedding, de-embedding and so on. The 6800N Series can adapt to new standards and formats when they emerge.

Density:
The 6800N Modular Platform offers a maximum of 20 modules per frame. Fully functionalized each single module presents higher density. For example, you can monitor up to 30 channels of SDI audio/video by detecting video and audio signal errors within a 2 RU frame, thus reducing the frame count and saving your rack space.

Control:
Every 6800N Series frame is equipped with Ethernet Controller, which can support SNMP. The frame also provides RS232, ONet, USB for ease of control, setup and upgrade.

Monitoring:
The monitoring features offered by 6800N Modular Platform are very exceptional in a way you can check a wide variety of status of your facility anywhere via network, which include:
1) Frame and modular status
2) The type of module mounted in the frame
3) Frame operating status
4) Module operating status
5) Signal status including: Signal presence; Signal format; EDH/CRC; AES and embedded audio status; Freeze frame, black field detection; Audio loss, no audio and audio overload detection.

In addition, most of 6800N Series SD modules also provide analog video output monitoring with OSD. You are allowed to set the module, check the signal status by an easy approach of menu, in particular an On Screen audio meter can be displayed for your ease of monitoring.

Reliability:
The 6800N Series has by all means enhanced power supply capacity and cooling capability. The 2RU frame can support a second, truly redundant power supply. In terms of power consumption, the 6800N Series is much lower than the 6800 Series.
