Product Description
Downlights, if not safely protected, can become a fire hazard as the whole cut in the ceiling to accomodate them compromises its fire resistance.
Fire hood is made from flexible, intumescent-coated glass cloth, which has a variant that can house a transformer for low-voltage fittings.
UK current building and wiring regulations have meant firehoods have become a necessity. Not only does a firehood seal to stop fire penetration into the ceiling void left by fittings for up to one hour, but in normal use also offers ventilation to prevent the light fitting from overheating.
We also fabricate the acoustic firehood which features sound proofing, minimising noise and vibrations, rot proof, maintenance free.
Bs476 part 22, 23 compliant.
