[DRUG NAME]generic name: Metacyclini Chloridum Capsules [INGREDIENTS]The main composition is metacyclini chloridum. [DESCRIPTION]Capsules. [PHARMACOLOGY & TEXICOLOGY]Metacyclini chloridum belongs to tetracycline antibiotics, but some tetracycline and Oxybicycline-resistant strains are still sensitive to it. The following organisms are susceptible to Metacyclini chloridum: Rickettisia, Mycoplasma, Chlamydozoon, some atypical mycobacteria, spirochaetes, Actinomyces, anthrax bacteria, Listeria monocytogenes, fusiform shaped bacillus, Nocadia Vibrion, Brucella, Flectobacillus, Yersinia, and etc. Enterococci is not sensitive to Metacyclini chloridum. Metacyclini chloridum have some antibacterial activity against Neisseria gonorrhoeae, but is not active against penicillin-resistant gonococcus. Owing to wide use of tetracycline antibiotics for years, the resistance of common pathogenic bacteria(including some Gram-positive bacteria such as staphylococci and most Enterobacteriaceae) to Metacyclini chloridum is very severe. Cross drug fast exists between Metacyclini chloridum and other tetracyclines. Mechanism of action: It is combined with A place of 30S subunit of bacterial ribosome, thus restraint chain propagation and influence the synthesis of bacterial proteins. [INDICATIONS]1. Metacyclini chloridum can be used as first choice drug or an alternative for the treatment of the following diseases: (1) rickettsial diseases including epidemic typhus, endemic typhus, Rocky Mountain Spotted fever, akamushi disease, Q fever. (2) Mycoplasma infections. (3) Chlamydozoon infections including parrot fever, adenitis trophicalis, nongonococcal urethritis, salpingitis, cervicitis and trachoma. (4) relapsing fever. (5) brucellosis. (6) cholera (7) deer fly disease. (8) anthracia pestis. (9) chancroidal ulcer. It is used together with aminoglycosides for the treatment of brucellosis anthracia pestis. 2. It is only indicated when pathogenic bacteria is sensitive to it because of the severe resistance of present pathogenic bacteria to metacyclini chloridum. It is unsuitable for the treatment of hemolytic streptococcal infection and staphylococcal infection. 3. In patients hypersensitive to penicillin, it is applied to treat tetanus, emphysematous phlegmon, omunono, syphilis, gonococcal urethritis, cervicitis, hepatic typhus, Actinomyces and Listeria monocytogenes infections. 4. It can be used as adjunctive therapy of midrange and severe acne. [DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION]For adults: 300mg (1. 5 tablet) to be taken orally every 12 hours. For children over 8 years: 5mg/kg (weight) every 12 hours. [ STORAGE]Keep tightly closed and store in a dry and cool place. [ PACKAGE]6 tablets*2 blister in PVC/aluminium packaging.
