[DRUG NAME] Generic Name: Cefalexin Trimethoprim Granules
[INDICATIONS] It is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by penicillin-resistant staphylococci, streptococcus, streptococcuspneumoniae, Escherichia coli, and etc.
[INGREDIENTS] Sweet tastes granules with correctant added.
[DOSAGE AND ADIMINISTRATION] For adults: 2. 5g~5. 0g to be taken orally 4 times a day; And less dosage for children under the direction of the physician.
[ADVERSE REACTIONS]
1. Nausea, vomit, diarrhoea and abdominal discomfort have occurred relatively frequently.
2. Allergic responses such as tetter, drug fever have been rarely seen, and allergic shock has taken place by chance.
3. There have been some reports of symptoms of nervous systems including dizziness, ambiopia, bombus, and spasm.
4. Damage to the kidney has been noted accidently during treatment with cefalexin trimethoprim granula.
5. A positive Coombs'test and rises in serum nitrogen pherase have been found in some patients. Hemolytic anemia has been rarely reported. Neutropenia and pseudomembranous colitis have been also observed.
6. Trimethoprime has been founded to interfere with the metabolism of aminomethopterin and bring about adverse effect of hematological system such as hypolekocytosis, thrombocytopenia and metahemoglobin anemia. Generally, leucocyte and blood plaque have been reduced lightly, which can recover if drug withdrawl is in time or Folacin preparation is applied.
[CONTRAINDICTIONS]
1. Hypersensitivity to cephalosporin and penicillin.
2. Hypersensitivity to Trimethoprim
3. Not to be used in premature infant.
4. Not to be used in patients suffering from severe kidney and liver diseases.
5. Not to be used in patients with blood diseases.
