In the 1950s, a cooperative workshop made up of 61 people emerged along the Li river producing palm ropes manually.With the spirit of solidarity, the founders succeeded in transforming the workshop into the wireless field within 20 years.With the coming of Chinas open reform policy, the second transformation took place by the introduction of an internationally advanced automatic production line for urine analyzers and strips from Japan in 1984. This transformation was of great significance to URIT, making its products among the best in the medical industry.This also brought an end to manual tests of urine in China and a new age of dry chemical urine analysis in Chinese clinical diagnostics. At the same time, Guilin Medical Electronic Instrument Factory was established, with the guiding spirit of Undertaking, Reality-Orientation, Union, and Devotion.From this solid base, Urit has been marching into a new stage.

Focusing on inspection and diagnostics, Botest Medical Electronicaly Company, Guilin Landao Diagnostics Company, URIT Sales Company, Shenzhen Youbao R&D Company and Urit Software Company were established successively.

Guilin Botest Medical Electronical Company was formally registered in the year 2000 to fit the progress of the market economy.Botest semi-automatic and fully-automatic hematology analyzers and reagents were launched successfully within 4 years and were given the award of "National New Products" as well as winning second place in the "Guangxi Tech-Progress Award."The company also placed third in "Guilin 2002 Economic Achievement" with an A+ Credit-Rank Enterprise.

Adroit sales tactics contributed to the rapid increase in annual turnover.The growth of Botest has risen rapidly since 2001:the sales income of 2002 was 1.3 million USD, which marked a 60% increase over the previous year.Moreover, the sales income of 2003 increased to 4.3 million USD; an increase of 230%....

Effective management and excellent products calls for a strong sales team.As the distribution platform, Urit Sales Company is responsible for the sale of 4 series products:urine analyzer, hematology analyzer, biochemical analyzer and blood-glucose analyzer.URIT’s young, capable and high-quality sales team has exploited brand new sales modes to promote URIT products, attaining continuous increase despite fierce competition. From 2001 to 2004, sales achievements increased progressively at the rate of 30-40% annually. The company has had self-operation export and import rights since 2001. 

URIT products are used in hospitals all over the country and are also exported to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Urit products have won a number of big biddings, including the World Bank loan Projects, Provincial and Municipal Government Purchases, and have hold 60% share of the market.Furthermore, a large network for post-sales was set up nationally, with the center in Guilin, various local branch-offices, and a service station as foundation.In order to improve the service efficiently, service centers have been launched in 18 large cities including Beijing, Wuhan, Nanjing and Shenyang.

URIT is booming through the efforts of several generations in the past 50 years.There are over 500 employees.Of these 500, 218 are professional technicians, 135 of which are of intermediate level or above.65% are above the junior college level, including 2 doctors, 7 masters, and 3 professors.The annual recruitment of outstanding undergraduates is like the injection of fresh blood, and certain expenses, with an annual increase of 15%, are invested in employee training.
