Brown fused alumina (Symbol: A)
Brown fused alumina is fused in an electrical furnace by high temperature. Its main raw material is bauxite, and chemical composition contains AL2O3, a small amount of SiO2, TiO2 and Fe2O3, etc. The micro hardness is 1800-2200kg/mm2, the hardness is higher than silicon carbide. It is used to for cutting tools, sand blasting, and high-class refractory products. The degree of refractory is up to 1850oC.
