C9 hydrocarbon petroleum resin is a kind of thermal plasticizing resin produced by C9 fraction, by-products of petroleum cracking, through pretreatment, polymerization and distillation. It isn't a high polymer bat a low polymer with the molecular weight between 300-3000. Featared by acid value, easy mutual solubilities, resistant to water, resistant to ethanol and chemicals. It has the chemical stabilizing property to acid and alkaline, viscosity adjusting and thermal stabilizing, Generally, the petroleum resins are not used independently, but have to be used together with other kinds of resins as promoters, adjusting agents and modifiers.

Application for C9 Petroleum Resin:
A. Paints
Paints mainly use C9 hydrocarbon petroleum resin with high softening points, C9 hydrocarbon resin are added to paints can increase the final finishes of paints, the adhesiveness of paint films and the hardness. Resistance to acid and alkaline.

B. Rubbers
Mainly use C9 hydrocarbon petroleum resin with low softening points, this resin have very good mutual solubilities with natural rubber particles, No affect to the sulphurization of rubber.

C. Adhesives
Petroleum resins have very good adhesiveness, they can increase the adhesiveness of adhesives, resistance to acid, alkaline and water. Subsequently they will reduce the production cost.

D. Printing inks
Usually, the C9 hydrocarbon petroleum resin which hare high softening point are used for printing inks, they hare color spreading, fast dry and brightening effects and will increase the printing property.

E. Others
C9 hydrocarbon petroleum resin has certain unsaturation property and can be used as paper glutting agents, plastic modifiers etc.

F. C9 hydrocarbon petroleum resin are non-hazardous products, however the direct sunshine and rain shall be avoided daring transportation. They can't be transported together with self-flammable materials, strong oxidizers and strong acid.

Hydrocarbon petroleum resins shall be stored in dry and cool area, the storage period is one year, but they can be used again if they out still up to specifications by inspection after one year.
