Product Description

The code name of Hydrolytic Polyacrylonitrile Ammonium Salt is NH4-HPAN (former name: High Temperature High Pressure Hydrolytic Polyacrylonitrile). It is a product resulted from hydrolysis Polyacrylonitrile under high temperature high pressure. It is a new type of drilling fluid additive.

I. Usage and function:
1. Reduce the water loss of the mud especially high pressure water loss.
2. Better thermostability.
3. Excellent mud rheological property.
4. Have a certain ability to inhibit the clay from hydrating and resist landslide.
5. Have better effect of antiseizing.
6. Have a certain ability of salt and calcium resistance.

II. Physical and chemical requirements:
Appearance yellow powder
Loss of weight in baking % ≤10.0
Ammonium content % ≥7.0
Residue on ignition % ≤2.0
Fineness(10mu) all passed

III. Mud performance of the product:
Performance in fresh water drilling fluid

Distilled water: NaHCO3: Bentonite API filtration (ml) 25.0± 2.0=1000: 3: 60 apparent viscosity (mPa· S) ≤10.0
After the treating of NH4-HPAN API filtration (ml) ≤13.0
When the dosage is 3. 0g/l apparent viscosity (mPa· S) ≤8.0

IV. Usage and add-on:
Used in the bentonite-fresh water or bentonite-salt water mud system, it not only can be used singlely but also can combine with other mud additives. The dosage should be among 0.3~1.5%.
