Polished rod is an important link for connecting between the pumping unit and rod string in the oil well. Currently, the Company offer 2 types of polished rod formulated from different alloys: AISI 4130 and AISI 4140.

API Polished Rod

The polished rod is the uppermost joint in the string of sucker rods used in a rod pump artificial-lift system. The polished rod enables an efficient hydraulic seal to be made around the reciprocating rod string.

Currently, Nine-Ring polished rods are made from AISI 4130 and 4140 alloy steel.

1. API Polished Rod
*Nine-Ring reserves the right to deviate from the above listed percentages of a particular chemical element of a grade of steel, however we will always adhere to the requirements of API Specification 11B.
Tensile value is the only steel polished rod physical requirement of API Specification 11B. All other physical properties are expected values only and Nine-Ring reserves the right to deviate from the above listed values.

2. API Metal Sprayed Polished Rod
Except coating chemical composition, Nine-Ring metal sprayed polished rod diameters, dimensions and tolerance are same as normal polished rod.
