Grab Sample Station

Product Description

Need to add a sample point for taking a grab sample? Our Grab Sample Station is designed for small boilers where on-line instruments are not used. For these small boilers and power plants, a grab sample is taken and analyzed using local test kits, or taken to a small laboratory for later analysis. The grab sample station is designed to reduce the sample pressure and temperature and to control the flow rate, allowing grab samples to be taken safely, efficiently, and with the least effect on the sample composition.

Optional features include:
1. Backpressure regulator or head cup, to allow the grab sample station to provide a pressure controlled sample to a remote analyzer.
2. Cooling water valve kit, including one inlet ball valve, one discharge globe valve, and one relief valve. The relief valve provides additional safety in two ways: A) provides relief for the cooler shell if the valves are inadvertently closed, and b) provides relief for the cooler shell in case of a tube rupture on a high temperature sample.
3. A price deduction to delete the sample sink, in a case where a sink may not be desirable. In this case, the customer should provide tubing or piping to their own separate drain.
4. Flow sensor for remote monitoring of critical samples, which helps to verify that the sample is flowing properly.

Specifications
Maximum Pressure/Temperature: 222 bar @ 400 C. (Slightly higher temperature rating possible at reduced pressure: Consult JWT for your application. )
Maximum Sample Flow rate: Up to 800 ccm normal, 1200 ccm max. Higher inlet temperatures will increase discharge temperature, and may require reducing the flow rate.
Materials of construction: Valves: 316SS, tubing 304SS, 6mm OD, valve packing depends on model (temperature).
