Pharmacology Description: Prostaglandin E1 agonist
Therapy Description: Prostaglandin, vasodilator, peripheral, male sexual dysfunct, antithrombotic.
Alprostadil is used mainly in congenital heart disease and in erectile dysfunction. Alprostadil is used to maintain the patency of the ductus arteriosus in neonates with congenital heart disease until surgery is possible.
Storage: Store between 2and 8 in airtight containers.
