One July 1st 2007, the yard of Labthink was dressed out and filled with happy laughter and cheerful voice. More than one hundred Labthink staff and their families gathered in the gaily decorated yard to celebrate Labthink’s Tenth Anniversary Celebrations.
One July 1st 1997, Labthink was established as the first domestic high-tech enterprise specializing in theoretical research of flexible package and instrument manufacturer to provide the best and the most comprehensive quality control program to customers in industries of package, printing, adhesive and auto non-metal. Labthink is the first to initiate digitalized package controlling concept in China. Now ten years has past, just as domestic package testing industry does, Labthink also made rapid progresses and proud contribution to the theoretic research and technical development in packaging industry. In the past ten years, Labthink has provided more than 3000 international customers with multiple professional services and ten thousands of test instruments. It has established world known polymer permeability laboratory and distribution network covering several tens of countries all over Europe, Asia, America and Oceania. Labthink grows into an industry leader from a small laboratory in ten years. With a period of ten years, Labthink has made admirable achievements. On its Tenth Anniversary Day, Labthink invited all the staff and their families to celebrate this Labthink holiday. On the celebration, Labthink CEO Yunzhong Jiang made a speech of ebullience, looking back the course of enterprise establishing and looking forward the developing prospect of Labthink. Recalling the past in the light of the present, all the staff sighed with exclamation, more of them are puffed up with pride. After the celebration, Labthink held grand reciprocal banquet to express gratitude to all the staff and their families. Technical innovation is crucial to an enterprise’s core competitiveness, especially to technology-based enterprises such as Labthink. For these enterprises, technical innovation is the one and only way of rapid development, the eternal guarantee of long-term development.

Since technical innovation of packaging testers are mainly based on package testing standards, technical innovation of Labthink primarily sticks to principles of testing standards. As is well known, each country has its own package testing standards and test data demanded by each country also vary greatly. To meet such requirement, users have to purchase several test instruments based on different standards, which is time and money consuming. Taking this situation into consideration, Labthink made a thorough study on international and domestic standards and developed instruments compatible with several standards. Taking MXD-02 as an example, it has three independent operation modes completely compatible with ISO8295, ASTM D1894and GB10006. For example, the VAC-VX series possess data fitting function, with which not only technical indexes such as diffusion coefficient, solution coefficient and permeability can be obtained, corresponding parameters at various temperatures can be calculated easily. The first time I came into contact with Labthink is 2006, when I was planning to give a full play to my abilities in packaging industry. According to my distribution experience of more than ten years, Labthink is a stock with growth potential and will bring me profit through careful management. And the actual result is that after the cooperation with Labthink of over one year, I gained more than I had expected.

Due to the geographical factors, I have a lot trouble to get to china. My previous meetings with Labthink people were all at exhibitions. However, this year I made special arrangement to visit Labthink in Jinan.

I reached Jinan Station at three PM and was surround by the sweltering heat of Jinan summer after walking out of the station. I had a terrible thirst. At this moment, Labthink people already waiting there handed me a bottle of iced water. I was really touched. The driver took my luggage to the car and politely showed me the seat. At that time, I suddenly felt at home. When we reached the hotel, I got to know that Labthink had already arranged me for all the things, even the place to eat breakfast and my taste of food. All this made me believe that I would live very comfortable during the whole visit.

I visited Labthink the next day. The salesman keeping in touch with me was waiting for me at the gate of company. Under their guidance, we went to the meeting room, which is not luxuriant but very clean. In the meeting room, Labthink people asked me for the refreshment. I felt a little surprised on seeing the list: coffee, beverage, tea and pastries. The complete service is like professional places. Then I ordered my favorite Chinese Wu-Lung tea. The taste of wu-lung tea here is different from what I have had in chile. It has sweet scent and endless after-taste. I had the luck to enjoy such tea in the following days.

The reception was well, and the technical training was also done particularly. In the following days, I visited Labthink permeability analysis lab, atomization lab and chromatography lab one by one. I was surprised again for the well-regulated management of laboratories. The data that the specimen is received, the number of specimens waiting for testing, and the data of testing, the test duration… all these are recorded clearly. At that moment I understood why each time I sent the specimen the salesmen were very busy. But they can accurately tell me the data of final result. I paid special attention to gas chromatography tester during my systematic training because one of my customers wants to purchase it. The manger of technical center, Merken, took time to accompany my study. He gave my specimen to the operators for testing and made detailed explanation to relevant things after testing. In my eyes, he is an expert, from which I learned much.

A week was quickly past. I would go to other places of China for business. When I was in other places of China, Labthink people often send e-mails, asking my safety, foods and beverage, and my schedule. They are like my families and I was deeply moved. As one Chinese saying goes: judge a people from his small deeds. From the particular details of our contact, I see Labthink’s spirit of diligence, honesty and harmony.
