Question: How is the imaging quality of the close-up lens compared with that of the micro lens?

Answer: The imaging will be very poor if using the single element structure close-up lens. It can not be compared with the micro lens. The depth of field will be very shallow if the 2 elements in 1 group structure achromatic close-up lens master lens uses the larger aperture. The sharpness will be improved greatly if stop down the aperture appropriately. It can even approach the micro lens. If using the XPRO close-up lens, the effect on imaging will be much smaller than that of using the regular achromatic close-up lens and it can still get the clearer images, especially when it is used on the high resolution lens. The sharpness will be more approach to that of using the micro lens if stop down the aperture appropriately.

Question: Can I use the close-up lens when shooting from afar?

Answer: The lens can not shoot the distant objects when using the close-up lens. The furthest shooting distance(the distance counting from the close-up lens to the objects) equals with the close-up lens focal length.

Answer: We don't recommend that the wide-angle lens use the close-up lens. Because the wide-angle lens resolution is lower, the improvement of the magnification is not very obvious even with the close-up lens and it's also hard to get very clear images.

Question: Is there a huge difference between the lens of dozens of yuan and the lens of hundreds of yuan?

Answer: Currently on the market, except Canon 500/250D is the 2 elements om 1 group achromatic structure, the rest are nearly all the single element ordinary close-up lenses and there are very few being with coating on. Even the Kenko close-up lens of multiple elements set at the price of nearly 300 yuan is nothing but package selling of several single element close-up lenses of different magnifications. The imaging difference is huge between the single element structure and the 2 elements in 1 group achromatic structure close-up lenses. The two are not even on the same level. Especially when using them on the telephoto lens, the effects should not be mentioned in the same breath. The single element structure close-up lens can only get blurred images with obvious chromatic aberration. The achromatic close-up lens can get sharp images with little chromatic aberration.

Answer: The XPRO close-up lens can be overlay used on the internal focusing lens and has very little effects on the imaging quality. But in view of the bearing capacity problem of the master lens, we don't recommend the overlay use. In order to satisfy customer requirements on magnifications, XPRO has designed the close-up lenses of various magnifications and calibers for you to choose.

Question: What is the optimal aperture range of the close-up lens?

Answer: When using the minimum aperture(such as stopping down the aperture more than 3 steps). So we generally recommend that the aperture range be between F8-F13 when using the close-up lens. The ordinary achromatic close-up lens barely affects the original lens imaging, but it can't get clear images when using the larger aperture.
