Application
Fiber separator is used not only for defibering, but also for removing all kinds of impurities of waste papers with the different specific gravity of fibers, it combines defibering, separating and screening in one unit. As secondary pulping and separating, it is normally located after the hydraulic pulper. Fiber separator can handle with coarse screen rejects too.
Structure features
Fiber separator consists of a conical housing, horizontal-separating impeller, drive, reject discharging unit, etc. The stock enters the upper part of housing tangentially. The impeller work as pump and defibering knife, but also generate turbulence to flush the screen holes. Accepts pass through the screen plate, which is behind the impeller, and discharge under pressure. The lightweight impurities (such as plastics) collected in the center under the vortex effect will be discharged with a part of stock from the central outlet on the front cover at regular intervals. Under the gravity effect, the heavy impurities will go down along the conical housing, pass through a short helix channel and discharge at the lower reject outlet.
Three fundamental function: Secondary defibering, separating lightweight impurities, and removing heavy impurities.
With the defibrater in the pulping process, its possible to use the poor waste paper, reduce the pretreatment of the raw material and save the cost. Its possible to increase the production of existing hydraulic pulper, reduce the specific energy consumption by about 10~20%. Its possible to obtain high quality stock and reduce fiber loss.
With the defibrater in the screen process, its possible to increase screen efficiency and save the cost. |
