Product Description

Description: Safflower Oil is a pure oil produced by cold press, refining and filtration from the seed of Carthamus tinctorius L., no antioxidant is added.

Safflower Oil is a clear golden yellow oil with characteristic taste and odor. It is one of the richest source of Linoleic Acid (LA), and GMO-free.

Peroxide Value 1.5 meq/kg Max.
Iodine Value 138-145
Unsaponification 2.0% Max.
Moisture and Volatiles 0.5% Max.
Color (Lovibond 133.4mm) R<3 Y<30
Heavy Metals (As Pb) 10 ppm Max.
Arsenic 1 ppm Max.

Fatty Acid Composition:
C16: 0 Palmitic 2-10%
C18: 0 Stearic 1-10%
C18: 1 Oleic 7-42%
C18: 2 Linoleic 75% Min.

Packaging & Storage
The oil is packed in 185kgs net drum, purged with nitrogen. It should be stored in cool and drying place, protect from light. Shelf Life is 24 months in original package. Once opened the oil should be blanketed under nitrogen and used within 6 months.
