Product Description
Product Name: Biodegradable Starch Resin
Product Code: BOR-Z-805F(Stand-alone injection moulding grade)
Composition: Starch ≥ 50%; Fat ≥ 12%; PP≥ 27%; Other adsees ≥ 11%
No addition of other polyolefin required
Characteristics: Granule colour is light yellow, has slight starch fragrance, easily absorbs moisture and is easily decomposed by microbes within 180 to 360 days; Low static; Easily coloured; Granules normally come in cylinder or round shape; Process temperature is generally lower than conventional; These granules can be processed on their own directly to the final product without adding any other polyolefin.
Recommended applications:
For all moulded products where the requirement for the added compound volume is ≤ 60%, e. G. For food trays, cutlery, plates, drinking cups, golf tees, toys, straws, plant nursery pots, disposable bottles, knives, forks, chopsticks, etc.
Processing equipment required:
Ordinary injection moulding machines, sheet extruders
Processing Technology:
Newly moulded products feel crispy and fragile due to humidity lost during production. After 24 hours curing, it regains final property and hardness.
It also can be mixed with PP, e. G. Grades T30S, F401, J340, B240, K8303, X30S.
Note:
1 Due to the high starch content, the resin easily absorbs moisture, it needs to be stored in a dry environment and the packaging should be sealed properly to prevent ingress of moisture.
2 In case the resin is damp, it should be dried for 2 hours at 105C.
3 Processing temperature is 5 C to 10 C lower than for PP. During processing, the temperature is correct when corn starch fragrance can be smelled at the hopper.
4 It easily decomposes in a microbial environment within 180 to 360 days and is therefore soil-friendly.
