WXG-4 is measure polarized and special rotation of liquids contained compound. It can measure the purity, concentrationand percent content of substance.

Easy Measurement:
The meter with 589.44 wavelength sodium lamp. After powered on, the luminous of the sodium lamp cast on lens, color filter, polarizer and then become straight polarized. Finally, it divided into normal or abnormal light. You can see the bright or dark show one side through eyepiece of the meter.

Rotate the handwheel of the meter and operate to line up the vernier and scale to the zero position. N this case you can see a bright show completely consistent that is the measured zero.

Put the tube with polarized substance in lab, and you can see a bright or dark show one side again through eyepiece. Rotate the handwheel of meter again to look for bright show consistent with the zero, then read the scale from magnifier that is value of the sample.

Special Rotation Measurement:
Special rotation is parameter only owned by substance to calculate substance constant. T is a especial constant. Note: For best results, the concentration of sample solution is g/ml, and its temperature is set at 20oC. Using 100mm glass tube.

Purity Measurement:
The polarimeter is ideal for determining purity of samples. If you want to know its purity, you need only measure its the angle of rotation.

Concentration Measurement:
For some known substance of special rotation, you need only know its the angle of rotation and can calculate concentration according to formula.

International Sugar Scale:
According to international sugar scale, put the solution made of 26 grams pure sugar in tube and measure at the angle of rotation is +34.626, temperature at 20oC. By the rules which described above, you need only know the angle of sugar's rotation and can calculate the purity of sugar.
