Properties:
Calcium chloride is a white, crystal substance in the form of flake, granule, pellet or powder. It's a little bitter without toxic and bad smell. As calcium chloride has such properties as quick dissolving, exothermic ability, attracting moisture from the air and surroundings, dissolving at very low temperature, It can't be dissolved in organic solvent as ether but in water, alcohol, acetone, acetic acid, formic acid, hydrazine, pyridine and acetamide.

Application:
1. Desiccating agent: Used in drying nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, chlorine hydride, sulfur dioxide.
2. Inorganic chemicals: Raw material of metal calcium, barium chloride, such calcium salt as calcium phosphate.
3. Building industry: Antifreeze agent.
4. Other fields: Snow & ice melting, oil &gas drilling, refrigerant, culture medium, fireproofing agent, antifogging agent, preservative.
