Property light gray paste, not soluble in cool water, alcohol, ethyl ether; soluble in hot water.
Appearance changing to rose red when oxidized in air like aromatic sulphonic acid and aromatic amine.
Application used as intermediate of acid mordant dyestuff and acid complex dyestuff, such as C.I. Acid Violet 90, 91; C.I. Acid Blue 155, 158, 161, 168, 193; C.I. Mordant Red 7; C.I. Mordant Black 1, 11, 17.
