This s a slightly fermented tea, going through such processing steps as sun-drying or oven-drying. White tea is often made of leaved mantled by a layer of white fuzz, hence the name. The finished tea leaves have a delicate, silvery white appearance due to the original white pekoe. Steeping yields a faint-colored liquid with a fresh and mellow flavor. By the material used, white tea is classified as Banmudan(white peony) and shoumei.
