Fiberglass Wet chopped strands
Wet chopped strands are produced by chopping wet fibreglass strands into a certain length. The surface of strands is coated with a silance-based size which imparts a specific application property to the product.
Application:
Wet chopped strands are mainly used to produce wet formed fibreglass mats to enhance surface strength, smoothness and chemical resistance of end products. The product has numerous applications including water-proof roofing material, GRP surface, facing material, floor covering and battery separators.
Dry Chopped Strand
Chopped strands are used as reinforcements in thermoplastics and thermoset molding compounds to produce molded parts for electrical, mechanical and chemical resistant applications in transportation, appliance, business machine, farm equipment and electrical, construction industries.
Application:
Chopped strands for PP, PBT, PET, PA are mainly used in injection and compression molding process and its typical end-use applications include automotive industry, home-appliances, valves, pump house, chemical corrosion resistance and sports apparatus.
Chopped strands for BMC/DMC are mainly used in injection and compression molding process and is typically used to produce various electrical parts.
