Needle and ratainer assenbly, needle bearing and drawn cup needle roller bearings are all moving tip bearings. They can be used as positioning bearing with combined with stop thrust rings or under small load at low speed and being fully lubricated. Other positioning bearing always have the problem of much space occupied.

Combined needle bearings are single directional positioning bearings or the positioning bearings with minimum radically sectional height. If the centripetal needle bearings are used with thrust ball bearings or cylindrical roller bearings in combination, the applicable range will be greatly expanded. The combined needle bearings are mainly used in transmission engineering and tooling machines such as the bearing in the main shaft of a drill press, drill sleeve, positioning central shaft, worm, spanner teeth head and so on and so forth.
Combined Type Needle Roller Bearings are combinations of a radial bearing and a thrust bearing. Caged needle roller bearings are used as radial bearings and thrust ball bearings or thrust roller bearings are used as thrust bearings. They are compact and very economical, and can be subjected to radial loads and axial loads simultaneously. They are widely used for machine tools, textile machinery, and industrial machinery.

Combined needle roller bearings consist of a radial needle roller bearing combined with a thrust bearing and are consequently able to take up both radial and axial loads. Combined needle roller bearings provide the means to produce locating bearing arrangements in a minimum of radial space. They are particularly useful where the axial loads are too heavy, speeds too high, or lubrication inadequate for simple thrust washers to be suitable, and other types of locating bearing take up too much room.
