Property: An alkaline earth metal, strontium is a soft silver-white or yellowish metallic element that is highly reactive chemically. The metal turns yellow when exposed to air. It occurs naturally in the minerals celestine and strontianite.
Applications: Mainly used in metallurgical, electronic and chemical industry. Used as the raw materials of making strontium metal and strontium alloys, also for the additives of storage battery grids.
Packing: Vacuum-packed in aluminum cans of 2.5kg or 5kg each, then packed into Iron drums.
