In vegetable oil solvent extraction process, the meal coming out from extractor will contain some solvent. Those solvent must be recycled for two purposes: Saving cost and meal transportation safety. The Desolventizer- toaster is the unit to evaporize solvent and water from meal. And then solvent-water vapor is sent to condensor to cool down and liquidize. Stripping Column works in the same principle as desolventizer-toaster but its function is to evaporate solvent from solvent oil mix, called miscella.
