BROWN FUSED ALUMINA
Brown Fused Alumina is electricallly fused in an arc furnace form a mixture of bauxite, coke(anthracite)as main raw materials at high temperature. Its chemical compposition contains AL2O3, TiO2, a small amount of SiO2and Fe2O3, etc. Micro-hardness: HV1800-2200kg/mm2, toughness: Highe than silicon carbide. Abrasive articles made of it are suited for grinding metals of high-tensile strength such as steel, annealed malleable iron and hard high-class refractory products.
