Magnetic position switch (magnetic proximity switch) consists of a Hamlin/ALPHE magnetic reed switch and magnet. The plate moves with operation to actuate a sealed magnetic reed switch, producing the required signal which can be used to actuate audible or visual alarms as well as relay.
