Ferro-actuate type proximity switch

Ferro-actuate type proximity switch is that has a built-in system of permanent magnets, unlike magnetically actuated switches that require the approach of an external permanent magnet actuator before they will operate. Ferro-actuate switches operate upon the approach of a simple piece of ferrous material i. E. Mild steel.

The switches and its actuator must be brought with in specific proximity to each other (operating distance) the actual distance in any particular case will depend on their relative attitude.

Application: Limit switch, door interlocks, alarm system, batching and timing mechanisms.
