Network Video Server is one port dedicated video server designed for stream full resolution, DVD quality network video of surveillance applications. It provides easy integration with traditional analog systems, ensuring a smooth migration toward an IP solution. Therefore, users can access to high quality live video and audio any time, any where, from any workstation on the LAN/WAN with standard web browser.

Network Video Server is based on embedded powerful ARM processor with advanced hardware MPEG 4/2/1 and M-JPEG encoder. It digitizes analog video into crisp, real-time MPEG 4/2/1 or Motion JPEG video streams at a full frame rate of 30/25 frames per second. The built-in web server allows no need for additional hardware or software to capture and transfer image and video. It also offers advanced event handling with video motion detection, I/O control and alarm notification. Pan/tilt/zoom cameras may be connected and are easily controlled from a user interface. Security features include multiple user access levels with password protection, IP address filtering.

Analog cameras of all types, such as fixed, dome, indoor, outdoor, fixed dome, pan/tilt/zoom, as well as specialty cameras, can all be integrated in a network video system using video servers. The coax cable from the analog camera is simply connected to the analog input on the video server, which then digitizes, compresses, and sends the video over a local network or across the Internet. Once the video is on the network, it is identical to a video stream coming from a network camera, and ready to be integrated into network video systems. Simply put a video server turns an analog camera into a network camera.
