The Taq DNA Polymerase is a highly thermostable DNA polymerase of approximately 93kDa, which have been genetically engineered and expressed through E. Coli. The purity of the enzyme is above 95% because of the application of advanced purification technique. The enzyme catalyzes template-dependent polymerization of nucleotides into duplex DNA in the 5 to3 direction. The Taq DNA Polymerase has no detectable 3 to 5 exonuclease (proofreading) activity and possesses 5 to3 exonuclease activity. The velocity of the enzyme's catalyzation is above 75bp per second at 70-75º C. This enzyme adds a single 3'-A overhang to each end of the PCR product, which can be applied to T/A cloning. |
