"Baltic Inspection Alex Stewart" Ltd. was founded in the year 1990 as a representative company of Alex Stewart International Corporation. The company are registered Members of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce.

Our main areas of activities are the visual quality and quantity control of different commodities - fertilizers, timber, metals, coal, coke and peat moss, flour, sugar, other foodstuffs and manufactured goods. We also examine the quality of packing, carry out marking and supervise weighing. In the case marine transport is used, we control the quality and quantity of the shipment loaded onto the vessel, as well as the cleanliness of the holds before loading starts. We perform radioactivity testing of metals and sample different materials. The samples can be analyzed in the neutral laboratories of StewartGlobal in Liverpool and Rotterdam. We also provide consultancy service concerning the quality of different commodities.

We are acknowledged and certified by the National Standards Board of Estonia as an Organization of Commodity Control and have been issued a licence of activities in classifying commodities and measuring the quantities for customs declarations.

The results of inspection are presented in expert opinions, reports and certificates that are accepted in international arbitration.
