Pegasus Ltd.

Pegasus Ltd was founded in 1993 by Janis Karathanos that had 100% of the shares of the company, with the following activities Distributor in Veterinary products (exclusive distributor of Pfizer Animal Health, Schering Inc, and of many other generic companies), seeds (distributor of Peconer) and pesticides. Now this specific veterinary branch exists as an independent company Pegasus Vet Ltd and it's the biggest Veterinary distributor in Albania.

In 2000, Pegasus Ltd introduced itself in pharmaceutical market as an exclusive distributor, first with Alcon Inc, and in 2004 as exclusive distributor of Pfizer Inc (by Agency Agreement. )

Starting by 2005, Pegasus Ltd is the sole distributor of Becton & Dickinson Inc. In Albania. On 2006, we expanded in the Medical Diagnostics market with Abbot Diagnostics and we are covering all the instruments needs in the Blood Bank, and the biggest hospitals in Albania, in cities such as Tirana (the Medical University Center Hospital), in Fier, Vlora, and Shkodra.

On 2008, we entered in the Analytical Chemistry market with Agilent Technologies INC. We have sold in this short period of time Agilent instruments to the Institute of Veterinary Research, Institute of Toxycology Institute of Forensics at the Ministry of Interior, National Center of Pharmaceutical Controls, Institute of Public Health, Medical University Center Hospital, and to other institutions.

We have signed exclusive distribution agreement with all the above companies that we have introduced in Albania.

Just a month ago, we started cooperation with Merck KGaA, being for the moment its only distributor of its chemicals branch in Albanian market, as well as being distributor of Whatman PLC, in Albania.

During the last year, we have had plenty of cooperation in public tenders, with companies such as Air Science Ltd, Tanaka Scientific, etc, which have been very fruitful and successful for all the parties.
