The first memorable date in the life of FUX Corporation is December, 1991. This is when FUX Ltd, the predecessor of today's private company limited by shares was established with a staff of four people. Manufacture and distribution of steel wire loops and slings for cranes constituted the main line of business in that heroic age. The small but efficient and flexible team soon proved their valour taking over an ever growing share of the market. The success story full of hard work and a continuous widening of the palette of products along with the circle of customers started.

In the year of 1994 the company started the manufacture of aluminium conductors used as electrical overhead wires. FUX, a former distributor stepping up as manufacturer of these new products first expanded sales on the Hungarian market then crossed the borders to gain customers among European users. As a result of relentless investment and innovation the production of insulated conductors was introduced, which, again, brought in a host of new business partners.

The growth in the selection of products as well as in market opportunities brought about the increase of workforce and update of technical and technological background of production. During its first 10 years of existence the company bought two manufacturing sites in the northern industrial area of Miskolc and the number of employees reached 150. By the turn of the century FUX products had penetrated the Slovak, Czech, German, Austrian, Croatian and Slovenian markets as well.

While the management continued to focus on the manufacture of insulated and non-insulated overhead conductors they also started to diversify towards a new line of business. Lifting and cargo fastening products were initially manufactured by FUX CO. On commission but later the company took over sales and distribution as well as manufacture. As a result of this decision, we could capture a sizeable share of the Hungarian market of these products. The company's showroom continuously carries a full selection of polyethylene hoisting and cargo fixing ropes and belts, equipment and accessories along with accessories and fittings for steel wire products and lifting ropes.

This success story, as we mentioned at the beginning, could not have been written if the management had not insisted on continuous innovation, product development flexibly adapting to market needs and research and development activities. According to 2006 data FUX CO. Had spent 1.2 billion forint on R&D since its establishment. Another priority issue for our company has been Quality Assurance. Continuous testing of our products has been done by our own analytical laboratory approved by the National Accreditation Board in 2000. Production, on its turn follows the processes of the ISO 9001 quality management system.

FUX CO. 's partners in addition to Hungarian electrical utility and network building companies now include leading European energy suppliers as well as network builders. Our organisation is now present on the Scandinavian markets as well as in Western Europe also retaining its share in former countries of the Eastern Block. The next big challenge ahead of us is the conquest of markets in the CIS countries.
