Batik painting is the traditional folk art has a long history but popularized in a few minority areas in the far remote mountain areas of China. Usually, the native artists paint the pictures on the batik fabrics, cotton, silk, poplin or others with the patterns covered by beeswax.
The tool of drawing wax patterns isn't a brush but a self-mastery steel knife that is two slices or several same thin coppers which can be easily heated. According to the patterns several kinds of copper knives are necessary, for example hemicycle, triangle, ax form, etc..
