With iPower+battery, extra solar energy is stored in a battery as power backup and used when PV off work or grid outage to extend solar energy self-consumption.
During daytime with enough sunshine, iPower gets power from PV panels through existed on-grid inverter (DC to AC). However, there are two separate output channels from iPower for important loads and normal loads, respectively.
When power from PV is sufficient to all loads, extra power will be charged to battery. When battery is full, surplus energy will be supplied to grid if you want.
If the Power generated from PV is not sufficient to drive the Loads, grid supplies complementary power to drive the loads and even charge the battery (AC to DC) automatically.
In the event of power grid outage while no PV power supply, iPower controls the battery to discharge power as back up to keep important load continuously working.
