PHOTON Technology Co., Ltd. (PHOTON) was founded in February,1993,which is a joint- stock company, is the leading fiber-optic components and broadband optical transmission equipment manufacturer in China. Our modern facility, located in the Hi-Tech Industrial Zone in Shenzhen, China (few miles north of Hong Kong), has total 65,000square feet of engineering, manufacturing and administrative space.
As a government supported Hi-Tech enterprise, Photon is specialized in designing and manufacturing wide range of components, including PD, LD, Bi-Di, transceiver (SC, SFF, SFP), CWDM and EDFA, etc.
After the effective reorganization in 1993,photon has been one of the top component suppliers in China, offering LEDs, FP lasers, DFB lasers, single fiber Bi-direction modules and SDH modules which rate from 155Mb/s to 2.5Gb/s to almost every system manufacturer in China. Meanwhile, PHOTON has been playing an important role in the construction of HFC interactive network in China as a system manufacturer and a system integrator. We are offering the cost-effective solutions for the reliable HFC interactive network, which include 1310nm DFB transmitter, 1550nm external modulation transmitter, EDFA, rack-mount/strand-mount receiver and network management system based on return path system. Starting from July 1997, PHOTON sold thousands of devices every month to our customers in USA, Japan, Korea and European countries etc. In 2001, with sales in excess of $40 million USD, the international sales has reached nearly $18 million USD and growing...........We are working closely with customers to build network that links the world.
Of the over 700 dedicated employees, more than 55% have at least a college or even more advanced degrees. The R&D department of Photon is completely staffed with technical expertise to assure that its technology and products maintain their product performance and quality.
