Model of Human Skeleton with Nerves

  There are 206 bones in the human body, which are divided into 3 parts: the skull, the trunk bones and the limbs. Among them, there were 29 skulls, 51 trunk bones and 126 limbs bones.
 (1) support role: different bones of human body pass through
Joints, muscles, ligaments and other tissues form a whole, supporting the body. If human beings do not have skeleton, it can only be a pile of soft tissue that has collapsed on the ground. It is impossible to stand or walk.
 (2) protection function: human skeleton is like a framework, which protects important organs of human body, and makes it possible to avoid dry scratching and damage of external force as much as possible. For example, the skull protects the brain tissue, the spine and ribs protect the heart and lungs, and the pelvic bones protect the bladder, uterus, etc.. Without bone protection, external shock and blow can easily damage the internal organs.
 (3) movement function: skeleton and muscle, tendon, ligament and so on organize together, and complete the human movement function together. The skeleton provides the necessary support for movement, and the muscles and tendons provide the impetus for movement. The function of the ligament is to maintain the stability of the bones and to keep the movement going continuously. So, we say bones are the basis of exercise.
 (4) metabolic function: the metabolism of bone and human body is very close. The skeleton contains large amounts of calcium, phosphorus, and other organic and inorganic substances, and is a participant and regulator of inorganic salt metabolism in the body. Bone is also involved in endocrine regulation, affecting the secretion and metabolism of hormones in the body. Bones are also related to electrolyte homeostasis in the body.
 (5) hematopoietic function: the hematopoietic function of bone is mainly manifested in human's infancy. The bone marrow cavity contains a large number of hematopoietic cells, which participate in the formation of blood. In adulthood, red blood cells with hematopoietic function still exist in some cancellous bones.
