During the italian inmigration to Chile in 1908 aproximatelly, Valparaiso had been destroyed by the force of a great earthquake in 1906. In those days arrived to Chile a young Italian inmigrant, born in the Mediterranean cost in Liguria (NE) Italia. He was only 16 years old and he has the force that all inmigrant of those days rely on. It was the only way to achieve their dreams, working hard in this desolating landcope, due to Valparaiso was completally destroyed after that catastrophe. But eventhough that adversity this young in 1913, thanks to his effort, work and perseverance was able to begin like an associate in the renowned Almacen La Providencia located in the traditional neighborhood El Almendral, which supplied the numerous families that inhabit Valparaiso at the beginning of the XIX century. La Providencia started importing remowned brands like sport articles for hunting, with lines like Fiocchi, Crystalware, Valsaint Lambert, and a complete line in its grocery store, olive oils, cereals, cleaning articles, etc. Only few years were passing until this Italian young, Don Jose Campodonico Casagrande stablished his family in Valparaiso and that is the way that his grandson Don Renzo Pareti Campodonico, who is actually in charge of presiding this family enterprise, PARETI S. A. And using all the professionals knowledge and family experience in the international business world. At present time our enterprise PARETI S. A. Is located in one of the emblematic building in Valparaiso. The 1 st. Company de Gas de Valparaiso, located in the corner of Aldunate street. This company introduced the 1 st. Public gas lighting to Chile. In our days, our enterprise want to maintain alive the prosperity feeling of those days, that were the gold age in our Valparaiso port, which received the numerous immigrants, whom with their great iniciative and taking risks achieved a prosperous and beautiful commercial city. Now, we are working everyday to mantain this image of our port and to improve it with our work. In our days, PARETI S. A.
