In converter steelmaking, high carbon silicon granule 1-3mm can replace ferrosilicon, silicon carbide, and recarburizer. Reduce the amount of deoxidizer, the effect is stable.

 

1. Oxidation should shorten the reduction time compared with ferrosilicon powder and carbon powder. Reduce power consumption. Improve labor productivity.

2. The decomposition and oxidation of silicon-carbon alloys is an exothermic reaction process . The positive pressure in the furnace is strong. It can provide the necessary conditions for deoxidation and sulphur. Reduce the sulfur content.

3. The reduction period is shortened. Reduces the chance of inhalation of molten steel in the later stage. Reduce the growth of the H element and return to P. The quality of the molten steel is guaranteed.

4. Reduce the amount of quicklime and fluorite powder added. cut costs. Reduce the concentration of harmful gases and smoke and pollute the environment. Conducive to the improvement of operating conditions.

5. Foam slag is rich and active. At the same time, the bubble is wrapped with arc yellow to reduce arc radiation. Improve the life of the lining and the furnace cover. Reduced thermal shutdown time and consumption of auxiliary materials.
