GC-2010D Transformer Oil Dissolved Gas Analyzer Gas Chromatograph
Transformer oil dissolved gas analysis (TOGA) with the gas chromatograph is very effective. The analysis results of the dissolved gas is used to evaluate whether there are potential overheat, discharge and other failures in the transformer oil, so as to guarantee the safe and effective operation of the power supply system. It is also a necessary method to evaluate the quality of insulation oil for equipment manufacturers.
GC-2010 series gas chromatograph is a fully-computer-controlled, multipurpose and cost-effective GC system. Model D is specially designed for determination of the gas content dissolved in the transformer oil. It consists of a packed column injection system, two packed columns (a porous polymer column and a carbosieve column), a methanator and three detectors (two flame ionization detectors and a thermal conductivity detector).
The advantage of this two-column-three-detector system is that all gas components (including hydrogen, oxygen, methane, ethane, acetylene, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide) dissolved in insulation oil could be measured by one time sampling. The dissolved gas in the insulation oil sample is collected according to international standard method, and then further separated by two columns. The minimum determine limit is about several uL/L for permanent gases (for example hydrogen) by TCD with N2 carried. While the minimum determine limit of C1, C2 hydrocarbons is less than 0.1uL/L by FID. The carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide are also determined by FID after conversion into methane in a methanator before carried into the detector. The data processing and recording chromatograms are performed by the specified chromatographic workstation.
