The rolling line is arranged by full or semi-continuous rolling. The process flow is as follows: hot billet or cold billet hoisted by traveling crane is fed into the heating furnace through the feeding roller. The slab is heated to about 1250 C in the heating furnace. The slab output from the heating furnace is removed by high pressure water descaling device, and the qualified slab is fed into the roughing mill.
Rough rolling mills arranged in full tandem rolling generally consist of three edger mills and five 2H mills. There is no looper between the stands, and micro-tension rolling is adopted. In order to ensure the width accuracy of strip, the edger mills is pressed by hydraulic pressure and the width of AWC+SSC head and tail is controlled by short stroke. The two-high roughing mill is pressed by hydraulic APC. Rough rolling in semi-continuous rolling generally adopts the arrangement of 3H mill or edger mill+2H reversible roughing mill, and the intermediate billet is produced 5-7 times by reciprocating rolling.
According to the different thickness of the rolled strip, the roughing mill rolls the slab to the intermediate strip with the thickness of 30-45 mm. The intermediate strip with qualified temperature is sent to the finishing descaling device to remove the secondary oxide scale, and then to the finishing mill to roll the finished strip thickness. Finishing mill consists of one flying shear, two edger mills and three 2H mills and six 4H mills. There is a hydraulic or electric looper between the stand to ensure the constant micro-tension rolling of strip steel and the rolling accuracy of strip steel. A thickness gauge and a width gauge are installed behind the finishing mill to measure and display the thickness and width of the strip. The hydraulic AGC screwdown system is used in the finishing mill, and the final rolling temperature of the strip is controlled between 850 and 950 degrees centigrade.
Collection area is divided into vertical coiling collection and horizontal coiling collection according to bandwidth. The steel strips are collected into coils and packed and stacked.
