Elevator Traction Machine Introduction:
The PG3 permanent-magnet synchronous traction machine for elevators manufactured by Kaidi is composed of three parts: Motor, gear box and brake.

The motor drives the gear box to output torque that produces friction between the traction sheave and wire rope, and such friction makes the elevator car move. To stop the elevator, the brake works to stop the brake wheel, and the car stops.

Application for PG3 traction machine:
1. Applies to the passenger, medical and cargo elevators with the load 630-1, 600 kg, speed 0.5 - 2.5 m/s, and installed in 1: 1 traction ratio;
2. Applies to the passenger, medical and cargo elevators with the load 1, 250 -3, 000 kg, speed 0.5 -1.25 m/s, and installed in 2: 1 traction ratio;
3. Applies to the cargo elevators with the load 5, 000 kg, speed 0.5 -0.63 m/s, and installed in 4: 1 traction ratio.
